The Transfusion Medicine department is a specialized branch within clinical medicine that focuses on the safe and effective use of blood products in the treatment of patients. This discipline plays a critical role in ensuring that blood transfusions are carried out properly, minimizing risks to the patient while maximizing therapeutic benefits.

• Blood Donor Selection
• Blood Collection and Processing
• Blood Preservation and Banking
• Laboratory :- Blood Typing (ABO, Rh), Cross-matching/ Compatibility tests, Blood Screenings (HBsAg, HCV, HIV, Syphilis, MP), Coomb’s tests (Direct, Indirect), Weak-D test (Du detection), Rh antibody Detection and Titration, Blood Group Discrepancy Solution, PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) Therapy, Processing and Component Separation.
• Academic :- Departmental placement of phase II MBBS students (7 days), Lecture classes of phase III MBBS students (3 hours), Intern doctors placement (7 days).
