Dear Students, Faculty, and Well-wishers,

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to North Bengal Medical College, Sirajganj. This institution has a proud history and a promising future. Established in the year 2000, it was the first medical college of its kind in the northern part of Bangladesh. The college was founded by the late Professor M. A. Matin, a renowned eye specialist and respected politician, whose vision and dedication laid the foundation for this institution. What began as a modest initiative has now grown into a center of learning and service that we are proud of today.

Over the years, North Bengal Medical College has developed steadily. From the very beginning, we worked hard to build strong academic and clinical facilities. Today, the college has well-furnished lecture galleries, a modern library, and comfortable hostels for both male and female students. Our students enjoy a supportive environment where learning goes hand in hand with co-curricular and extracurricular activities throughout the year. This helps them grow not only as skilled doctors but also as responsible members of society.

The path of medicine is both challenging and rewarding. It demands not only intellectual rigor but also empathy, integrity, and a lifelong commitment to learning. At North Bengal Medical College, we strive to instill these values in our students, preparing them not just for a career, but for a calling.

The attached hospital (North Bengal Medical College Hospital) is also an integral part of our institution. It is equipped with modern diagnostic tools and treatment facilities to ensure quality care for patients. At the same time, it provides our students with the opportunity to gain practical experience and clinical training under the guidance of dedicated teachers and experienced physicians.

Many renowned academics are now working in our college, offering their knowledge and mentorship to future generations of doctors. I feel proud to say that our graduates, after completing further specialization, are serving with competence and respect in Bangladesh as well as abroad. Their success is a reflection of the quality of education and values they have received here.
