Professor M A Muqueet is the eldest son of our founder late Professor M A Matin and late Professor Tashmina Matin. He did his medical graduation (MBBS) from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), India. He had an outstanding medical career in the UK and have passed PLAB and USMLE examinations, completed a Diploma in Internal Medicine examination by London University and have completed MRCP examination by the Royal College of Physicians in UK in 1998.
He has worked in many British Hospital in different positions for more than 10 years and holds registration by General Medical Council, UK and Medical Council of India in addition to BMDC.
Prof Muqueet is trained in General Medicine and Cardiology in UK. Currently, he is working as Professor and Chairman, Department of Cardiology at Bangladesh Medical University (BMU), Dhaka and contributing relentlessly as Intervention Cardiologist as well as in teaching and training for post-graduate courses. Prof. Muqueet has more than 30 publications in various peer-reviewed journals. He has been awarded as Fellow of American College of Cardiology and of European Society of Cardiology for his outstanding contribution in teaching and clinical practices in Medicine and Cardiology.
Like his father, Prof M A Muqueet wants to contribute his clinical knowledge and experiences to uplift the standard of Medical Education and Clinical Practices in this country and to work with dedication for his community.
